We propose a solution that is based on linking the individual components of our system, as well as external devices through the Modbus protocol, without interfering with the operation of the heat pump, recuperator or other devices.

HEMS (Home Energy Management System) is an advanced IoT-based home energy management system that integrates various devices and technologies to monitor, control and optimise energy use. The system works by collecting and analysing data on energy use, enabling users to manage it proactively and in real time, contributing to savings and greater energy efficiency.

Self-consumption is the process of using locally produced energy, such as from photovoltaic panels, directly on site.

As a result, this energy does not need to be transported through the grid, reducing transmission losses and costs.

The future of energy management is self-consumption. This is also the direction in which we are developing our solutions. We are working on a system that:

  • will ensure that the electricity generated by renewable installations, such as photovoltaic panels, is optimally used to meet local energy needs
  • rather than feeding all the energy produced into the grid, the algorithm will optimise the electrical installation so that most or all of the energy is used directly in the building or used to store energy in the heating system for later release as heat
  • this will reduce the cost of buying energy from the grid and contribute to a more efficient and sustainable use of renewable energy, which is vital in combating the problems of climate change and reducing the impact of human activity on the environment.
